My philosophy has always been, If you can freely rotate around a stable lower body on the backswing, then you’re going to be a lot more consistent coming back down to the ball.

If you can’t fire the glutes to stabilize your lower body in your swing, it’s going to be difficult to be consistent.
You definitely don’t want to have to think about it in your swing. Heaven knows we don’t need another thing to think about!
Once you have more control of that muscle group, then it will just happen naturally.
The most common saying from clients once they get control of the glutes is, “I feel so much more grounded in my swing.”
